Meet the Committee
The committee have all been elected for their positions by the club members at our AGM and stand for one year. They meet regularly throughout the year. Please feel free to get in contact with any member of the committee through the contact form or speak to them at training.
Ella - Chairperson
I have been involved in netball since a young age. I have always enjoyed playing, umpiring and being involved in the running of the clubs I have been involved in. Last season I became a B award in umpiring. I’m looking forward to the season ahead with 3 competitive teams. I’ve been a member of Pewsey for a few seasons now and have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the netball and socials. I feel now is the right time to give back to the club.

Elaine- Treasurer
I have been playing netball for more than 50 years in the UK, Germany and the Middle East. I set up the club in 2007 with Linda Curle. We started off small playing friendly matches but joined the Moonraker League in 2009. I have met the most wonderful and talented girls over the years that have taken Pewsey Vale Netball Club onwards and upwards and may we continue to do so. I first became the Treasurer for Pewsey in 2016 and am now going into my 7th season in this role.

Sarah- Club Secretary
I have been playing Netball for over 40 years! I joined Pewsey Netball Club when I moved to Wiltshire in 2014. I have seen the club grow from one team in the Moonraker league to three in that time and seen our teams going from strength to strength. I look forward to continuing to welcome more new people to the club and seeing the club develop further. For the 23/24 season I will be playing in Pewsey Reds.

Cerys - Training & Kit Secretary
I have been playing Netball for many years and a member of Pewsey Netball Club for 5 years. In previous seasons I have played for both the Red and Black team but this season I am being forced to take some time off court to recover from a torn ACL. This will be my second time on the committee.

Sinem - Social Secretary
I have been lucky enough to play Netball from the age of 9. Even while living in Cyprus I was able to continue playing. After moving to Wiltshire I found Pewsey Netball Club, they were very welcoming and I have now been with the club for over 7 seasons. I’ve been social sec for the club on and off across the years. I love how inclusive and how much fun all the girls have on and off court. It’s what Netballs about. One big family!

Ruth - Coach (non-committee role)
I joined Pewsey Vale netball club last year as we recently moved to the area. It was great to be able to train during a pandemic and I was super impressed with the 2020/21 committee, who put in an awful lot of effort to allow training and friendlies to happen in a safe environment. I have played netball for many years with Corsham Netball club and I am a qualified level 2 coach and C award umpire.

Dawn Edwards - Coach (non-committee role)
I am an England Netball level 2 coach presently working towards the EN level 3 qualification and hope to pass it and signed off by July 2024. I previously played for clubs, county, and regional level but after a serious knee injury retired for the first time and starting coaching at club level in the South West. Since moving to Berkshire I started playing Netball again for a few years at a
social level and since 2016 have coached clubs and teams local to me.
I took on the role of Head Coach with Laurel Park Netball Club back in 2021. I have helped guide their Berkshire premier league team to regional playoffs twice and helped to develop players who are now part of the Surrey Storm Pathway.
In September 2022 I joined Surrey Storm as an Assistant Coach for the NPL U19 squad. I am now in my second season with Surrey Storm and have been appointed as Assistant Coach to the Surrey Personal Development squad and Assistant Coach to the U21 NPL squad.
I thrive on building relationships and the challenges from all my coaching roles, along with helping the athletes achieve their full potential.
